Outsourcing to Undergo SAS 70 Audit
In line with one of its core values as a learning organization
that continues to pursue efficiency and excellence, CPI Outsourcing
will undergo Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) 70 Audit
this October-November 2009.
SAS 70 is a widely recognized auditing standard developed by
the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
This audit represents that a certain service organization has
been through an in-depth audit of their control objectives and
control activities that include controls over information technology
and other related processes.
In today’s global economy, service providers should demonstrate
that they have adequate controls and security when they process
data belonging to their clients. And this is what CPI Outsourcing
provides its clients; accuracy, best practices and peace of
mind; thus living up as the business outsourcer of choice.
Selected employees, led by CPI Outsourcing’s QMR Ms. Karen
Gay Sia-Binos, from Operations, Information Technology and Internal
Audit underwent rigorous training for three days to prepare
for the audit. An orientation was also held for all employees
to teach them necessary information about the said audit.
